Dear friends,
We all are having tremendous potential and energy to get much more
than what we actually get. This energy is hidden within us & is in a
dormant form; so we are not aware of it. We can use this hidden
superpower within us to develop & enrich ourselves and also the
society, and for that all we need is just a Spark. Once the Spark
ignites this store of hidden energy, then we are on a roll! To use
this summer vacation for searching & igniting this energy within us,
with a positive attitude, we have organised the SPARK 2010.
To win, whether it is in exams or any other battle in life, we have to
prepare ourselves & get ready. We have to identify & strengthen our
strengths, capacities, skills and qualities. We also need to find out
our weaknesses & come out of those gradually, putting our heart and
soul into it. SPARK 2010 is a program to assess oneself objectively &
also to develop by experimentation experiential learning. Then we can
lead to the path of Success.
1. You can participate in SPARK 2010 staying at home. There is no age
restriction to participate. Anyone above 10 years (children, youths,
teachers-parents and even grandparents also) can participate.
2. You will have to register immediately after you have gone through
this document by sending the following details of yours to the address
of PRAYAS, Amravati given on this document below (by post-card or e-
mail only) -Your full name/address for correspondence/telephone
number / mobile number / Email / Birth date / education /name of the
school-college / occupation / hobbies /name, education and occupation
of parents.
3. There are 22 questions given in the SPARK 2010 questionnaire. You
will have to write down the answers & send those to us. You can find
out the answers by thinking yourself, asking anyone, reading books, by
doing experiments and actual experiencing. It is not mandatory that
you should be able to solve all the questions. But try for the
maximum. You can deposit your handwritten answer sheet on lined paper,
at local SPARK centers before 1st June 2010. Those who are unable to
find out the Local SPARK center or not being able to do in this
period, can send answer sheets by post or courier directly to PRAYAS,
Amravati by July 10th 2010. If you need any information regarding
SPARK 2010, don’t hesitate to contact the district convener or the

yourself and send it as a donation to PRAYAS, Amravati through Money
order and attach the receipt to your answer sheet. (as per Q. No. 22)
6. SPARK 2010 is a program that would make you think, analyze yourself
and sharpen your skills and sensitize you regarding the various issues
in and around you. Today we see the tiring inhuman competitions &
races of numbers, marks etc. everywhere. We purposely kept aside all
these & so there will be no marks or numbers, no pass or failure in
SPARK 2010. As we strongly feel that it is not a competition, but a
search of our own self. But definitely we are going to acknowledge and
appreciate the genuine and sincere efforts by showcasing them widely
in the following manner-
a. Selective answers will be published in various newspapers,
magazines & at our website, with your names. We will also be compiling
those & publishing in the form of books.
b. You can get “must-read books” of National Book Trust and other
publishers at discounted prices from Prayas Sahitya Prabodhini,
Amravati.
c. A letter of appreciation having handwritten messages and autographs
of some well-known personalities will be given to those, who had tried
to solve more than 11 questions. It will be given around 15th August
2010.
d. We will be organizing SPARK 2010 Motivational Camps, throughout the
year, at different places in Maharashtra like Anandwan, Sevagram,
Akola, Shegaon, Pune, Karad, Ahemadnagar, Solapur etc. & you will be
given admission on priority basis. (Some of these camps can be
organized in your districts or taluquas) There will be an opportunity
to meet and interact with well known personalities like Writers,
Poets, Sportsmen, Scientists, Social workers etc. in these camps.
Along with it, there will be many interesting activities like games,
Scientific experiments, preparing models, Trek, or visit to some
industry or Tribal villages etc.
7. The decision of the organizers will be final in every aspect of
this program.
