Sevalaya does it again ! 100% result in Agri group in 12^th grade exams for the ninth consecutive year!!

97% overall results

Thanks a lot Donors, with your support, Sevalaya proves again that if proper facilities are given, orphan, destitute and poor children can do well in studies.

Greetings from the children senior citizens, staff and trustees of Sevalaya.

Sevalaya’s Mahakavi Bharathiyar School has secured 97% pass in 12^th grade exams. We had 126 students who appeared for this year’s exam and 122 of them cleared it! They are all orphan/ destitute/poor children and first generation school goers. 6 students have scored above 1000 out of 1200.

The school toppers in each stream with details are given below:

P.Dilip Kumar:

P.Dilip Kumar stands school first with a total of 1083 out of 1200.He comes from Kasuva village. His father is an Agriculture Laborer. He wants to become a Chartered Accountant. He is very active in class room .He also participates in all school events like oratorical Essay & Poetry competition

V.Soundarya:

SOUNDHARYA. V has secured the second place scoring 1073 out of 1200. Her father deserted the family and her mother is a daily wage earner and her family is very poor. She stayed in Sevalaya hostel. She wants to become a Nurse. She is calm & quiet in class room. She is interested in Biology.

B.Vanisri:

VANISRI , the third rank holder has scored 1020 out of 1200. She stayed in Sevalaya hostel. Her father is an agriculture laborer and her family is very poor. She wants to become a nurse.

It is only because of the dedication of the teachers and other staff members, who realize that they are not working for mere salary and their main job is to help the poor, we are able to achieve such a result. The management wants to thank all staff members and donors who have made this happen.

We have 1700 such children now in the school and like the past 25 years, this year also we need your support. To get the initial requirements of two sets of uniforms, notebooks and other educational tools, we need an average of Rs 1000 per child. To support a child for a full year for education, it will cost Rs 6000 per child, per year. If you prefer to create an educational endowment to support one child permanently, it will cost Rs 80,000.
