Help Sevalaya kids to get note books

You are kindly aware Sevalaya’s Mahakavi Bharathiyar Higher Secondary School is a Government recognized school producing excellent results in terms of Pass percentage, top scorers and drop out ratio. There is no Government grant and the school has to totally depend on public donations. (Except free books)
The school has a strength of 1700 students.. While no fee is collected in whatever nomenclature, the school provides uniforms, note books educational materials, Examination expenses without collecting anything from the students. Besides the quality of education, imparting craft training, and inculcating values have to be sustained. There is no alternative to it for Sevalaya to fulfill its mission of educating the rural poor which is the only way of Nation Building, and making a change in the lives of the deprived sections of the rural parts.
At present, mobilizing finances for these activities are demanding quite a lot of time and efforts.
If people like you conscious of social responsibility come up to give your shoulder to bear a portion of this load, we will be left freer to concentrate on the productive side of our activities.

Provision of Notebook requirements for our students.

Here is a rough break up of note book costs. It has been calculated approximately as the exact cost of notebooks varies according to quality.
Costs have been based on the premise that each child is given 5 notebooks for each of the main subjects, smaller classes are given a test note book separately, higher classes are given long size test notebooks and in subjects like Maths more than one note book is given per child.
