Come and learn about some battery basics as well as EV Fire Safety with a few incident reports and specific advice to share. What are the 3 main battery form factors? Know the difference between types of fires (electrical, plasma, and how to stop them. Are EVs safer than ICE vehicles? What's an anode and Cathode and which is which? What are the ternary lithium chemistries and what makes them different from others? What is LFP and is it really as safe as we've always been told? How should you charge your EV depending upon what chemistry it has and could it even affect your warranty?

UNIVERSITY VILLAGE LOCATION:

The U-Village parking garage is the Western Most one next to Shake Shack and Anthropologie where we met many times last year. PLEASE BRING YOUR EV and DRIVE UPWARD TO LEVEL “D” or “E” of the garage where we will gather all EV cars together at the North End of the garage.

Please bring your smiling self and any friends and chairs if you have them and also bring your cool, clean EV for all to see!

It is toward the North Western end of U-Village. Feel free to arrive and park up there anytime after 6pm and the official meeting will start at 7pm as usual.
