If anyone speaks up and wants a good motor and controller, for say a tractor, mower, really monster go-kart, small car, etc, just raise your digital hand and let me know.

The motor is a lightly used series wound DC motor, an Advanced DC motor Inc X91-4001, built in 1991 and designed to run at 72 or 96V, mainly used in classroom demonstrations. The brushes look good and there is are two shafts, one is .750in and the other shaft is 1.125in, both are splined. Also there is a mounting bracket and controller that can go with the motor if you like.

There is one on ebay for over 500 bucks right now...https://www.ebay.com/itm/257172347802

Let me know, and it's yours. You can give me some beer money if you really want to...

Ok SEVA, it's been a bit, but that's because I've been biting my tongue
while waiting.

Could be helpful to list the motor diameter and length Tim. It looks smaller than an 8, but if it were a standard 8inch diameter ADC I’d take it as I could use it for reviving the Crazy 8’s Fiero :)

Cheers

Hi, Tim.  If that motor and controller are still available, (after the SEVA monthly mtg), I'd like to talk to you about them.  I've been dreaming and scheming for several years to build a Triumph Spitfire conversion, and now I have the donor car, I'm approaching retirement and beginning to gather the conversion components.  If your motor would be suitable for that frame, and if it's still in your garage, please drop me a note and I'll call you about picking it up.  Thanks.  Ron
