Howdy EVer's! Tonight is the Tuesday April 14 SEVA meeting!

Once again the SEVA meeting will be held at the MASA Synagogue in the old Rainier Beer Brewery building.  3100 Airport Way South Seattle, WA 98134 (MASA entrance is near the big painted mural) The meeting will begin at 7pm as usual but folks may start showing up in the parking lot at 6:15 for socializing.

A CHANGING WORLD & A FALTERING PETRO-DOLLAR?

Gas and Diesel prices are sky-high, the world is a changin' and we'll have an interesting look back at world EV sales from 2025 by country. And China only got their first privately owned vehicles in the mid 1980s, then I visited China in 2004 and the pollution I saw further influenced my passion for EVs. But today, WOW what a difference! China is really surging and EVs are selling quite well there and around the world.

CHINESE EVs TODAY - GREG VISITS SHENZHEN

Greg Johnsen recently visited Shenzhen and Shanghai in March 2026 and you will get to see photos and video of impressive electric drone deliveries, high speed magnetically levitating EV travel, full-size multi-person Vertical Take-off EVs, EV scooters and some parking lots with chargers as far as the eye can see! Various EVSE options and some super ultra luxurious EVs. Fancy Huwawei-powered EVs including the Stelato, Maextro and AITO. EV buses were all over too!

MORE CHINESE EVs - JOHN VISITS BRAZIL

BYD has passed Tesla in terms of plug-in vehicle sales and there are many other high-quality Chinese EVs produced yet we are essentially unable to get them here in the USA...but SEVA's John Ruhland was able to actually test some Chinese EVs when in Brazil and he will be giving a report with plenty of photos and time for Q&A.
