---------- Forwarded message --------- From: David Boze - WPC<communi...@washingtonpolicy.org> Date: Mon, Jan 19, 2026, 12:53 PM Subject: SPEAK UP TODAY: Hearing THIS afternoon on bill that would strip accountability from CCA spending. To: <psk...@gmail.com>
This is a special Legislative Alert bringing you the opportunity to speak out on key legislation before it is enacted.
LEGISLATIVE ALERT
New Bill Would Strip Accountability From CCA Requirements
Immediate Action Needed
HB 2251 Hide the Carbon Tax Data
This bill would eliminate the requirement to "evaluate the impacts" of state-funded climate projects. This comes after Washington Policy Center exposed the Dept of Ecology's originally released Climate Commitment Act impact numbers that were wildly off and that billions in revenue has not gone towards climate resiliency projects as was promised.
HB 2251 has a public hearing THIS AFTERNOON at 4pm.
Don't let WA Dept of Ecology hide from taxpayers.
