Mark, are these sales numbers the number which were sold in the U.S.? I
am curious about global brands I read about in the news, but I imagine I
would nowadays get hit with massive tariffs if I wanted to buy, say, a
BYD (Chinese car)? Is that correct, and would the tariff just be built
into the price I would see at the dealership? I am curious about
international brands because they could be good for the adoption of EVs
at a global scale, as they might actually be better and less expensive
cars, a better value; so I assume that our (American) isolationism and
tariff madness are setting back the adoption of EVs. What do you all
think? I think that I am affected personally because tariffs push back
by years the date when I will be even able to think about affording an
EV. (My climate activism in other areas did not exactly make me
wealthy.)
