Greetings fellow EV afficianados we have an exciting meeting planned!

This coming Tuesday March 10 is our monthly SEVA meeting again at the MASA room in the old Rainier Beer Brewery building.  3100 Airport Way South Seattle, WA 98134 (MASA entrance is near the big painted mural)

We are very fortunate to have such a nice place to meet during these cold winter months and we need to take care of it and keep it clean! I was notified that some of the used EV items which were brought last time, left some dirt and/or grease inside the facility. So for future meetings here, let's keep any trading of used EV parts outdoors. There is a great covered loading area right near the entrance which is well lit and could work well for anyone bringing parts/equipment to share/sell.

The meeting will begin at 7pm as usual but folks may start showing up in the parking lot at 6:15 for socializing. Parking is first come first served anywhere in the lot.

We will have presentations from:
David Lewis - GRC  NEW EV EDUCATION PROGRAM
There's an exciting new evening EV Technician/Education program which has started at Green River College in Auburn! A few of us got to see their open house this week and what a great facility and set of tools they've got! They also have a number of EVs and cool demo setups and they are starting on a super cool Mazda RX8 Conversion!

Micah Peterson & Stephen J - GM EV1 RESTORATIONS AND 3D SCANNING
SEVA's very own Micah Peterson has made not one but two recent trips to the secret location that the green EV1 (VIN 212) is being kept and restored at!  Micah can share some pics and first-hand info of the only "officially legal" GM EV1 in private hands which is undergoing a meticulous restoration after having been damaged and abandoned in Georgia. Additionally, Micah has acquired an extremely detailed 3D scanner and he and I had an adventure scanning the WWU EV1! Furthermore, Micah has been using this scanner to get excellent scans of not only the exterior of a GM EV1, but also the interior structural components as VIN 212 has undergone deep disassembly as a part of the restoration process!

And more EV News...
A Small Win and some positive progress in Olympia for Rivian and Lucid with SB 6354!
Wattworks moving across country and still clearing some EV parts out!
MLe Racecars will have a public auction of remaining EV parts at the end of March.
Jay's older salvage Tesla S passed Tesla's inspection and the FUSC (Free Unlimited SuperCharging) was restored!
Charlie, Ron and Stephen did a quick and simple LEAF battery pack swap.
The Big Bellevue Earth Day Show is April 13:
A cool new Orange insulated EV Tool you'll want to see and more...

Looking forward to seeing everyone this Tuesday!
Cheers,
Stephen Johnsen
