1) Autograph opportunity by Dr. Weimin Wu （吴为民）for his autobiography and newly released book, as well as meet him in person!
Dr. Wu was among the pioneer scientists who helped to develop China's first atomic bomb and to launch its first satellite. He also participated in building the first Chinese electron-positron collider. Another extraordinary feat is that he sent out the very first e-mail from China on August 25, 1986.
2) Volunteering opportunity for college and high school students at the picnic. We have multiple positions available. Please contact volun...@acse.org before 7:00pm, July 23 with Full Name, Age, School, Contact info for consideration.
3) Volleyball mini-tournament, please get your team ready to participate in this tournament at the picnic. We have teams from Western suburbs, Northern suburbs, and Northwestern suburbs already. We would like to have more teams to join us!
4) Bone Marrow drive by volunteers from Be The Match Foundation.

这届野餐联谊会有以下精彩的活动。
1)"声动芝加哥”年青歌手多名热唱流行劲歌、芝加哥华人艺术团带来美声与民歌演唱、阳光艺术中心展示专业舞蹈、已培育全美武术少年冠军的飞鹰功夫学院也将精彩献艺。
2)以各校友会及其它专业协会为单位参加的家庭趣味运动会。运动会包括篮球、排球、跳绳、呼啦圈、水汽球, 两人三足等十个项目。我们将提供多项奖品，比赛的优胜者和幸运者都可获奖，希望大家积极参与。
3)抽奖活动，大家可以抽到精美的奖品。 抽中大奖者可以免费在Wisconsin Dells的Christmas Mountain Village的二居室小别墅居住一周。可选择一年中任意时间段！市场价值一千五百美元！
4)提供精美的食品，野餐烧烤和美味中餐，饮料瓜果，让大家吃得有滋有味、回味有余。

2014 Greater Chicago Area Summer Picnic and Social Gathering of Chinese-American Professionals and Alumni Associations
You, your families and your friends are cordially invited to “2014 Greater Chicago Area Summer Picnic and Social Gathering of Chinese-American Professional and Alumni Associations
In the last 6 years, the picnic has attracted close to one thousand people to attend every year. We are looking forward to another big crowd at this largest summer gathering in Greater Chicago Chinese community. In addition to delicious Chinese food/BBQ, excellent entertainments, this year's event features the following activities:
1. Award-winning young singers from the Chicago singing competition, talented dancers from SunnyU, professional singers from Chicago Chinese-American Performing Arts Group, Chinese Kong-fu show, etc.
2. Sports competition among alumni associations and professional organizations. We will have 10 sport items including basketball, volleyball, Frisbee, water-balloon, hula-hoop, three-leg jumping, etc. The best team and individual athletes will be awarded.
3. Lottery. You can win nice awards.
4. We offer delicious food, such as picnic BBQ, Chinese food, soft drinks and fruits.
5. The picnic site is surrounded with green trees and beautiful lawn. Each participating organization will be provided with a tent to shade them from the sun.
6. The sponsors are provided with booths to introduce their products and services.
