Prevent edited collections from auto-sorting to top

First of all, thank you for this amazing extension! I’ve been using it for a decade and it’s been rock-solid all along. I do still miss the more old-school design and “Sessions” instead of “Collections,” lol, but overall it's fantastic.

I have a small piece of feedback: when editing a saved Collection (Session), it automatically jumps to the top of the list because the Collections are sorted by “last updated.” However, when I make small tweaks to an older saved Collection (Session)—such as merging windows or deleting a few links—I’d prefer it to stay in its original place rather than being bumped to the top. ???

Could an option be added to prevent edited Collections (Sessions) from automatically re-sorting by last updated? Thanks and all the best! !

I agree. Also re-requested this same feature a few days ago. My initial request last year was replied to as coming soon.

As I understand it, you're essentially looking for alternative collection tile ordering (eg, created date, title). Is that correct? That's currently on our roadmap.

In the meantime you can achieve this for individual collections by pinning them. A pinned collection retains its position through edits.

Yes. The current collection list is sorted by the updated date. My request is to add an option to sort it by the created date.

If I have 2 collections:

Collection A - saved today

Collection B - saved yesterday
Collection C - saved 2 days ago

And then I make any change in Collection B, it will jump to the top of the list:

Collection B - updated a few seconds ago

Collection A - saved today

Collection C - saved 2 days ago

I see what you mean by pinning individual collections. But I have a lot of saved collections (in the hundreds), its not easy to pin all of them individually. 

In my workflow I need the historical positioning of the collections to be kept intact. So when I'm going down the list of the saved collections, I need to be going back in time, such that the lower I scroll, the older the links are.

Do you have any sort of ETA on when such a feature will be added? I don't see this type of feature in the planned list of features -> https://sessionbuddy.com/planned/

Agreed this should be on the short list of planned features since it's more important than some of the other items included. That said, a significant amount of work is prioritized ahead of this so any ETA I offer will likely be meaningless (as was admittedly the case for your initial request).
