The session buddy tab keeps disappearing, any solutions?

I usually have many windows and tabs open, with one of them as the main window. I have a few pinned tabs, with Session buddy tab being one of them. Lately, I'm noticing that the Session Buddy tab keeps disappearing, requiring me to open it again from extensions and repinning etc. Sometimes it happens with browser restarts and updates, but I think it happens on its own at times too. This is a recent behavior, perhaps since the last release. Is there a way to keep the Session Buddy tab alive? A fixed place to have access to the tab with search capabilities etc. is very useful.
