Hello,

I had a computer crash and I restored via google chrome's "restore" feature.  I noticed that I was missing a few windows with tabs from my browsing session (originally had several windows with mult tabs in them) so I went to try to retrieve my session from session buddy but my Session buddy history is "blank" when I click the history button.  It's been 2 days since this happened and the history is still blank (no subsequent snapshots are appearing).  Is the history corrupted?  Is there any way to fix this?

Please help!

I had the same thing happend to me. Actually not even a crash but I was doing extensive research for computer parts to buy and my chrome than whole PC started freezing and not responding. It did not crash but I had to restart because I wasn't able to close chrome or anything.
I than noticed that my session budy saved session and snapshot history was all blank!
It's really annoying. I spent a lot of time doing research for different things to buy other than PC parts too, like Christmas gifts and so on. I had session saved with job offers I needed to apply too.
I saw Hans one of session buddy support members reply to an other post. I never had a prompt that I had to backup or that I had to move to V4. I'm actually pretty sure that I already moved to V4 a couple months ago because I had already lost my saved sessions at that time. But this time it's even more annoying because I was actively doing research and going through my history won't help because I opened thousands of pages. My saved sessions where the selected pages I wanted to keep.

Sadly I think I just won't be using this extension anymore and will go back to saving things as bookmark. There's no point using this kind of tool if you can't trust it. I was thinking since this are saved locally you can always go back. It's crazy to think no automatic saving feature is in place with .json files saved even if we have to manually delete them. An auto delete after a specified duration would be good. I see on the site they want us to switch to the cloud version, this seem like just a way to try and get us to do it honestly.

I have a similar issue. Using Opera GX in my case, browser was on the fritz because my memory was running dry. Browser crashed and recovered just fine, but then I go to Session Buddy and it was just blanked. No history, no collections. No idea where the info would be saved in my files either...
