Help! Can't open Session Buddy

Hello,

My Session Buddy automatically updated itself to 3.01, an autoupdate
almost always means something will go wrong. It seems the extension is
working (tab count changes with new/closed tabs) BUT when I click the
Session Buddy icon, nothing happens, the tab with all the sessions
doesn't come up as a result I cannot see any of my sessions! I tried
right click > options and a blank tab opens! Please help me fix this!

OK, let me try to troubleshoot this for you. Let's start with some additional info.

What OS and version of Chrome are you running? 

Let me know if there are any messages/errors in the console:
1) go to the Chrome Extensions tab
2) make sure the "Developer Mode" checkbox is checked
3) expand the Session Buddy entry
4) click on "background.html"
5) select "Console"
6) screenshot or copy/paste any messages that may appear here after you attempt to open SB

Hello Hans, thanks for the super-prompt reply

I'm using Win Vista, Chrome 17.0.963.56 m. I updated my Java to
version 6 31 yesterday, the extension worked fine as I restarted
several times during the day.

Here is a screen shot of the errors, they all appear to be the same:

May I roll back to 2.01 version?
Can I download it and install it? And how to protect it from not to auto update?

This is an issue caused by non-backwards-compatible changes to the Chrome API that were introduced in v18.0.1025.142. See: http://codereview.chromium.org/8969011

Upgrading to the latest stable version of Chrome will remedy this bug.

That said, I am implementing a fix now that eliminates the need to update Chrome. I'll send out another message when it's pushed out.

This patch has been pushed out. Update your extensions to obtain the latest Session Buddy version (3.0.2)

I'm sure you can appreciate the challenge of testing against an adequate set of Chrome's past releases given its frequent update cycle.

Thank you Hans!

My chrome auto-updated to 18.0.1025.162m, that fixed the problem. All
my sessions are intact.

I also updated to 3.02!

Here in the U.S. the update was applied after 1500 hrs local EST+DST.   Now at 3.0.3.
