I'm seeing a lot of changes that improve speed and how fast can I sort out all tabs/sessions. It's nice to see this plugin being made great again !

+1 for adding 'Move to new session feature'. [3.4.12]

I have one feature request: Better search engine, because it doesn't show search results, it just highlights them between my 3 thousand tabs.

I forgot to ask, if it's possible to disable focusing on the new session after it's been moved ?

We know search is currently lacking in some significant ways. A lot of the current effort behind the v4 release is focused on vastly improving it.

As for copy/move to new session, I'll update it such that ctrl+click suppresses selection of the new session and I'll release that in v3.4.13 some time this week. Thanks for the suggestion.

Also a quick tip that may be helpful:

You can always navigate back to the previously-selected session using the browser back button (or alt+left arrow or an appropriately-mapped mouse button). Handy for quickly getting back to the source session when window copy/move creates and selects a new session.

Thanks for adding ctrl+quick feature, it's very useful, speeds up a lot and reduces load time (for sessions with few thousand tabs).

Hi All,

I see Rudolph mentioned a new feature in version 3.4.12..

I assume this is a beta/dev version?
If so, could you please point me in the right direction to find this?

Thanks

Ed

@Ed, the latest version of Session Buddy (v3.4.14) is available in the Chrome Web Store:

However, Chrome should be updating the extension automatically.

If it does not, you may be running a version of Chrome that's not recent enough (Session Buddy requires Chrome 51 or later).

Note that if you decide to uninstall/reinstall Session Buddy, you need to save your local user data before uninstalling and then port it to the new installation.

How to Back Up and Restore Session Buddy Data (Advanced Procedure)
