Bulk delete old sessions

I just noticed, I have over 300 old sessions ("previous sessions", not that I saved intentionally).  Is there a way to delete old sessions?  (like delete everything more than a year old)?

I tried to do this myself by editing the json file. It wasn't difficult to delete the unwanted sessions from the middle of the file. Although my begin- and end-brackets match, SB complains that "something's not right" when I try to import the file. Attached is a screen print of my file, with each of the sessions that I saved collapsed (those are the blank lines in the middle). 

The json structure of my file matches the original file, so why won't SB import the file?
