Copy as Markdown and Search

Like many others, I don't like many changes in V4, but there are two that bothers me a lot and don't see them mentioned much here

1. Copy to Markdown - in the old version this would preserve session and windows names. In new version, it only keeps tab names. Here is the comparison, I don't see any advantage to the new format:

Another issue that I have is that search simply does not work. I am not talking about different behaviour here - searching vs filtering and highlighting. One example is that in my current session I have four reddit tabs open and when I type "reddit" in search bar and press enter, only two results are found and two are missing. 

I hope this gets fixed.

this thread gives you an entry point into various related discussions going on around that, including general text import/export.

already been fixed.  see "Why does search suck now?" in Session Buddy v4 FAQ.  there's lots of good info, including:

• URL matches are now included

 We will be adding a setting to allow window/folder names to be included in copy. Likely in v.4.0.4.

I assume you're on v4.0.2? (check version at bottom of Settings dialog)

Can you provide a screenshot or copy of your search terms and non-matching tabs? If that's not working we def need to fix it asap.

My message was sent week ago (before even 4.0.1 was out), but was only approved this morning. 4.0.2 fixed the search issue for me.

Yeah, I sent my message more than a week ago and it was stuck in "waiting for the approval limbo" ever since.

Some of my biggest complaint have already been addressed, one that remains is copy with more details and hopefully improved paste (so we don't have to go through the whole export / import JSON process).

I hope those will be addressed soon...

Sorry about that. There was/is lots of feedback to get through and things were a bit chaotic.

Congrats on the new version.

Looks like that copy action still does not contain folder information? I see it included in export (at least in "indented group" formats), but not in copy. Is this correct and is there any chance to add this info in copied text as we had it in V3?

A number of copy/paste improvements are planned, including control over the inclusion of windows/folders and metadata options (similar to what Tab Copy offers), Cut, and better format selection UX.

That said, the next release will focus on cloud storage as that has by far the biggest demand.
