This is to allow the restored versions of the data folders obtained from your backups to be copied into the same parent folder (IndexedDB) without overwriting the current ones, which we want to keep around just in case.
3. Copy in the restored versions of the folders and all of their contents
Now, if you have a backup solution enabled for your computer (either through the OS like Windows Backup or Time Machine for Mac, or a third-party backup solution like Acronis, Backblaze, or IDrive), then you can use that to get a historic copy of the two data folders. This is what is meant by "restored versions of the folders". You'll want to restore both data folders in their entirety into the IndexedDB folder. The details of how to restore them from a particular point in time depend on the specific backup product.
So you'll be copying the restored versions of folders:
- chrome-extension_edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko_0.indexeddb.leveldb
- chrome-extension_edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko_0.indexeddb.blob
into the folder:
C:/Users/Joe/AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/User Data/Default/IndexedDB
After that's done, restart the browser and SB to verify your data has been restored.
Let me know if that helps and feel free to ask if you have any additional questions.
