Does Session Buddy allow 'incognito' tabs to be saved?

A post elsewhere on the web claimed that Session Buddy has a setting that allows 'incognito' tabs to be included in an SB backup.

I haven't found such a setting. Is there one?

I'm aware of the argument that any preservation of incognito tabs defeats the purpose of 'incognito.'

However, I view the main purpose of 'incognito mode' as adding a layer of privacy during real time navigation, which doesn't contradict having a way to preserve incognito tabs, particularly if they'd otherwise be lost due to a crash. As the sole user of my computer, other security concerns (i.e., with respect to browser windows & tabs) aren't a priority.

Thanks.

Since there is no history and once a tab is closed you cannot restore it... so chrome in it's core crippeled the ability to know what url is open in this mode but maybe there is a way to log them without relying on chrome history api somehow...

Thanks. What I had in mind is:  since you can preserve incognito tabs if you bookmark them in Chrome (i.e., if you remember to do that before you experience a crash), why would Session Buddy not be able to do the same (but automatically, without user intervention)?

If you're still curious Session Buddy can indeed preserve your Incognito tabs. It's not in the Preferences where you may expect to find it though.

What you need to do is left click on the Session Buddy icon and select "Manage Extensions". If you then go and turn on the switch that says "Allow in Incognito" which is naturally turned off by default as it does allow recording of your browsing which is counter to some of the purpose of Incognito mode.

Session Buddy will now record your Incognito windows and tabs as well as your normal windows and tabs.

Thanks. Yes, I was/am still interested, because such an option prevents the complete loss of Incognito tabs in a crash, which for me is more important to prevent than the potential loss of privacy in preserving them.

On a separate but related note, is there a recommended 'how to' source for learning Session Buddy? I've avoided using it because it seems complex compared to other options like OneTab and Tabli, but I wouldn't if I could find a clear walk-through about how to use it. I realize it has many features the other, more basic, extensions lack.

Other reasons I haven't used it include: the developer's apparently increasing absence from the forum and the frequent reports of total loss of tabs by users (I just want to be clear on how to make sure that doesn't happen).
