Hey!

Session Buddy just got updated to v4, and now it seems to be missing a feature that has been very-very dear to me — a tab counter on the extension icon.

See, according to Session Buddy prior the update I have 367 tabs open. If I am not informed on my open tabs count, I risk missing the 400th tab anniversary. I risk not opening the champagne. Not going to therapy. Not changing the way my life has turned out to be.

Please, pretty please. Do return the counter. Do the right thing. Pretty please?

Thank you so much!

I have the same feedback - being prone to tab hoarding, it was a really important feature of Session Buddy all these years that I can look at the extension icon and see how many tabs are open.

Please pretty please with a cherry on top, return this valuable feature.

Also can you please tell me whether/how I can have SB automatically ask for the name of a session I'm saving?

Many thanks,
Sam

Hi,

I concur, I concur.

Those tab count numbers on each saved session were the main way I could remember - with the lingering shreds of memory I have left - and navigate quickly to the particular session I was working on, i.e. the one with x or y number of tabs around about such and such a date.

Yes, please, bring them back!

So many updates nowadays increase the number of clicks required to do the same job it used to do and so reduce the working usefulness of the software.

I have been using Session Buddy a few years now, it is absolutely great, and has been a game changer in my efficiency because it is an aid to my memory.

Thanks,

Simon

Just read their FAQ page. Looks like they didn't bother adding it in due to low demand, but they will consider adding it back in if we kick up some dust! :)

It's being added back as we speak. It'll be in the forthcoming v4.0.2 release under Tabs settings.

Cheers,
Hans

I see a tabs counter option in the Tabs settings which enables showing tab counts on the extension icon, but what I'm really missing is seeing the tab count on my saved sessions (which SK was also referring to above). That was an easy way to distinguish between multiple untitled sessions. Can we get a setting to restore that?

Thanks for all the hard work,
Orian

I fully agree with this, I used the tab count to identify sessions as well and would love to have it back on the saved sessions and previous sessions recorded in History.
