Default Names When Saving a Session?

Is it possible to use a default name when saving a session? For instance, I believe in the past auto-saved sessions would have their recorded date as the default name whereas currently all saved sessions will be called "Unnamed Session" if no name is provided.

+1 on using the recorded date as the Default name idea.

I set up a custom date format: YYYY.MM.DD ddd @ hh:mm:ss A, It looks like: 2017.12.04 Mon @ 12:16:46 PM 

It would be great if the current date format was preset as the default saved session name. If the user also clears the option "Ask for name when saving sessions", the saved sessions will have a fairly unique and useful name all set just by hitting Save. 

Regardless, the user could still type in whatever name they like, as is the current behavior.

I too agree with this concept.  I always set a custom name to my Sessions Buddy, and when I click to save a session the app should automatically recommend a user's custom Sessions Buddy Sessions name as an OPTION to name the current file.  My custom name always includes my version of a  modified date and extended time, which is a perfect naming convention.

What I don't understand, when I click on save my session, if I don't RETYPE my custom name format into the field, the app defaults to the name "unnamed_session" with nothing else.  I have an alternate suggestion if the requirement to use a user's custom name is too time consuming... PLEASE, if this is not too difficult as an option, can you offer user's an optional 'save as' selection, to save a file using at minimum, the current date and time?   I use this format, why?   If you save and upload to cloud, your files will sort very nicely, showing by YEAR and Month! (YYYY.MM.DD_hh.mm.ss_a).
