I was going to make a donation because your SessionBuddy saved my incognito and all sessions JUST 2 MINUTES before my Chrome crashed. I thought all 28 of my incognito tabs were lost for good!

The only way to donate is by PayPal. I had BAD experiences with eBay, the owners of PayPal, and I don't like how PayPal takes a big cut of every transaction, so I thought to help me AND you, we may consider a new donation-brokering service with a better reputation. I don't care how new it is, because if it's something better than PayPal in any way, then I'd rather donate through that.

Also, in case my computer crashes, I need a way to cloud-save my tabs! I need both a manual "Cloud-save" button and a way to set-up an automatic cloud-saving scheduler. (I think one automatic cloud-save every hour would be okay. I guess a log-in based on our email addresses would be one way to log in, or another way would be our own usernames if we so choose.

I can't remember to manually export tabs often enough. My last laptop - I last exported several months before it went belly-up. I can't rely on myself to do these things myself; I need an automated back-up process, and so do countless other SB users.

Do devs still frequent this group? I hope to hear from any of them. Thanks. - ENG

Session Buddy Support

Hi, thanks for your thoughts.

Cloud backup and sync is something we've been working on for some time now. It's a big project and the main impediment is available development bandwidth.

Session Buddy is not currently monetized in any way other than donations (which historically generate very little revenue), so dedicating full-time dev is not sustainable under the current model.

I'm going to introduce a Patreon option soon and see how much support that garners from the user community.

I'll also be adding one-time payment alternatives to PayPal over time (eg, Bitcoin, Stripe).

Hans
