First of all I would like to thank you all this time for this wonderful extension. This helped my internet experiences drastically

However, the recent update, as you can tell, is VERY bad.
If you can, please add these features back, it was in the previous version

■ In case I accidently delete a collection, merge collections etc., please rollback the redo option that pops up for few seconds

■ Renaming should not update the date of the collection. This was not a case in the previous version but now it updates the date of the collection to the current time

■ Please add the option to delete "snapshots" or "browser closed"

■ Please show the number of folders when i select each collections. This existed in the previous version but removed

■ Please make it possible to open tabs directly from session buddy through middle click instead of taking an extra step of checking boxes and opening the tabs

■ When i merge two collections  (sessions), please make it be able to delete duplicate tabs automatically, this again was in the previous version but removed with the recent update.

Thank you!!!!! Please make it so. These were extremely useful but now its all gone.

> undo option

This will likely come back in some form. For now there are confirmation dialogs that help guard against accidental destructive actions.

> Renaming should not update the date of the collection

Under consideration. To help us with this decision, can you provide some reasoning as to why naming should be treated differently from other collection updates?

> Please add the option to delete "snapshots" or "browser closed"

We're working on it. For now you can "Remove snapshots only" in Settings > History.

> show the number of folders when i select each collections

You can just click the URL to open or jump directly to the tab

> please make it be able to delete duplicate tabs automatically

We may bring this back. For now you can "Select duplicates" after the fact and delete them.

=> The reason why I wouldn't want renaming to update the collection date is because renaming isnt technically changing the content of the collection ( in my opinion)
If i have an organized set and order of the collections, I wouldn't want it to update the dates of the list just because I renamed some older collections to match with newer ones. Its just for organization.
its mildly annoying if I am being honest.

Anyways, thank you very much for the reply,  in the midst of swarms of complaints. I appreciate it.

Changing the creation date and therefore the order of the sessions was something that already bothered me in the previous version. I think a solution could be to allow other types of collection ordering, by creation date, for example. Even providing a custom order feature, where it would be possible to rearrange the order by dragging-and-dropping.

Agreed, organizing by creation date is almost always more useful for me.

Collection ordering options (eg, by title or creation date) may be introduced in the future, but it's prioritized behind a lot of other things.

One other thing to note on ordering... in case it's relevant, pinned collections maintain their positions when updated.

Yes, I'm using "pinned collections" and "move to top" features as a stop gap solution to sort through my collections.

Hans,  I concur with all of the requests for "Renaming should not update the date of the collection"  and here's why.  The critical point here is that not updating creation and modification dates when renaming is a standard behavior in almost every operating system (OS) file system, and this is the way most computer users' mental models operate.  In Windows, OSX, and Linux, If I rename a file or folder, the creation and modification dates are never updated.   The content is not changing, only the labeling, and typically to fix a typo.  Session Buddy should also operate consistently to this universal OS standard, IMHO.  Many users are complaining about this SB issue.

That's a good point. Thanks for taking the time to make the case for this.

Will be fixed in the next release.

Can we get a stop-gap "fix" that would allow us to inject a collection on the Xth position?

When having 10 collections, writing in a text field the number 10 and confirming - would move said collection to the 10th position (and push the rest upwards)

Also, editing a collection brings it up back.

Idk - I know this is not a priority for you - but tl;dr it does affect me (I don't edit my collections, because they are "in the correct order")
I am not sure why, when having "Move to Top" button it is impossible to have Move Up/Down/Bottom buttons too (and/or "do not move collections when edited" setting)

I'd gladly write some/all of it myself, if the source existed somewhere.
