Dear All, 

I've been using Session Buddy for 3 years, and I've really appreciated the comprehensive features and appealing UI. I found my way to the discussion board so I could learn more about planned features and have a way to contact other users and the team, which I've really appreciated having access to! 

I was wondering whether a policy/mission statement for the website would be a good fit. Privacy is up to the creator, but I think many would appreciate more comprehensive usage and privacy policies, as well as contact info for a person or pseudonym. Transparency helps to build user trust, especially since the Chrome web store is becoming bloated with vibe-coded extensions. 

It would also be nice to know whether open-source is something which will be considered in future, or if keeping the team small is preferred.

Regarding planned features, you can view the immediate backlog here: https://sessionbuddy.com/roadmap/

There are hundreds of items in our backlog. Someday we'd like to enable users to browse the full list, provide feedback on issues, and vote on features.

Agreed, a mission statement would be a nice addition to the web site. In fact, it's in our backlog along with comprehensive user guides (something sorely lacking at the moment).

That said, there is a declaration of principles of sorts on the landing page under "Private by design":

- No ads

- No tracking

- No data sharing

- No marketing emails

These are foundational principles we have upheld since Session Buddy was first introduced to the Web Store 16 years ago.

Agreed that properly vetting browser extensions has become increasingly difficult. For what it's worth, Session Buddy stands out based on some of the most meaningful trust signals available: a large and longstanding user base, consistently high ratings, and a long track record. Over the past 16 years, Session Buddy has earned the trust of more than 1 million active users (more than the next five most popular session managers combined).

While we have no immediate plans to open-source this project, we're not ruling it out as a future possibility.

Hans, please amend #3 on the Feature list with the symmetric feature: "Collapse (Hide) Folder Tabs List". Since you already implemented Folder Copy-Paste, this one became a must have NOW to enable normal work with multi-folder collections now available.

You also mentioned official Firefox SB version. Does that mean there is unofficial one now?

Interesting, once I installed SB on Chrome years ago, I never looked back at similar purpose extensions due to multiple reasons: higher quality ext, better faster support, more frequent feature updates, option to install on same family browsers, more complete history etc. I don't think it requires Open Source contributions at this point due to risk of loosing "app culture".

Folder expand/collapse is on the roadmap but not currently a top priority.

We have not published any Firefox version.
