Where does Session Buddy store information on my computer?

I am trying to restore my old Session Buddy sessions from an old hard
drive. This hard drive had chrome and session buddy installed, but the
OS no longer boots. So I'm trying to figure out if there is a file, or
files stored somewhere that I can simply copy onto my current
computer's chrome/session buddy. Is this possible? If so, where can I
find it?

Many thanks

Session Buddy user data can be found in the following folder.

Windows Vista, Windows 7:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\databases\chrome-extension_edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko_0

OSX:
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/Default/databases/chrome-extension_edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko_0

Ubuntu:
/home/<username>/.config/google-chrome/Default/databases/chrome-extension_edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko_0

Cheers,
Hans

Ah thanks! It will certainly be nice to have a cloud sync feature one day.

Much appreciated.

I'm doing the same thin here, except that I'm going from win7 to OSX
Lion.
I tried copying the single digit named file ("9" on my win
installation and "1" on OSX) to the correct place, but I get an error
message when launching Chrome:

An error occured in the Session Buddy extension:

5528193334:
INVALID_STATE_ERR: DOM Exception 11 [CODE 11]

Do win and OSX use different encoded data, or should this approach
work? Thanks!

In theory, this approach should work. The data encoding (sqlite db) should be compatible across OSs.

Which paths are you copying from/to?

Hi,
I'm copying from:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User
Data\Default\databases\chrome-
extension_edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko_0

to:

/Users/<username>/Library/Application
Support/Google/Chrome/Default/databases/chrome-
extension_edacconmaakjimmfgn blocblbcdcpbko_0

The windows file is called 9 and the original osx file is called 1. If
i rename my old 9 file to 1, session buddy seems to try to open it but
produces the error above.
I can't open the original windows file in a sqlite viewer on the mac,
so it might be corrupt or maybe there's something wrong with the
encoding. I might try to open the DB on a windows machine and export
all tabs manually.

Thanks anyway
-Micke

Let me know if your attempt to open the file with a sqlite viewer on Windows works.

If not, it's likely corrupt.

I can also take a look at it if you want to send it along.

Cheers,
Hans
