Alhamdulillah i was able to install shamila on my computer, but there seems to be one problem and that is when i try to search any particular text in any particular book the search dosent seem to start, can anyone please notify me as to how i can overcome this problem? Jazaakallah

i want to download the part 26 and 27 and 28 of the maktaba tu shamila or the most latest version of which contain more than 5111 books if you can guide me.i will be obliged to you of your this kind action.
In order to to change the language of your Windows system, go to the Control Panel (which you can find in my computer or the start menu) then open the Regional and Language Options. Then change all the language options to the language you want.
I have already written a post about the Maktaba Shamila for mobile phones. Visit that post and you will find that all the books are available as text files in zip packs. All you need on any mobile phone is simply a text reader with Arabic support to view any of the books.

dear brother . i install shamaela in my laptop. i changed the languse from control panel but i could not read now it is grabled.i am using windows 7.

I liked all books included at Al-Makataba ul Shamila , but there is some deficiency of books regarding some science subjects like Physics chemistry , Biology , English Grammar as wll as Medicine / Medial and spiritual books of Imam buni , amam razi , Aflatoon , suqraat , etc.
Brother, I currently use Shamela on Windows XP, but I wanted to buy a new laptop that comes pre-installed with Windows 7 64 Bit Home Edition. Does the Shamela program work properly on Windows 7 64 Bit Home? Or Does it only work on the 32 Bit version of Windows 7?
Microsoft support pages say that error 372 occurs when you install an application for a certain user only, then you run the application from a different user on the same computer. May be you can try re-installing the application on your user.

i have completed all the steps to download and install shamila but the language of the software is not arabic. it is a type of machine language. i have also purchased the software on CD but it has also the same problem. secondly i did not find upgrade file anywhere. please help me out.

There is no official iPad version. There is, however, an application called Shamela in the App Store and they are trying to develop it further and port more books into it. Maybe you could try that out.
Maybe you are not doing the search properly. To search for a word (or words), you must first select the books on the left-most panel (by checking individual books or selecting the whole collection, but making sure that the book names are checked), and entering the search words on the right panel. Then do the search.
