Any idea what might cause this out of the blue? We are rarely at our summer place so no one has changed anything. Whenever I lock or unlock the door from the keypad outside, it beeps flashing orange for 5 seconds and then unlocks/locks. So if I type in my code, it flashes the green check mark with an orange light 5 times, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP then the door unlocks. Press the Schlage logo to lock it and same thing, orange flashes 5 times, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, then the door locks. Any idea what that setting it?
I assume this still hasn't been addressed. The beep is just too loud! I would rather not use tape to cover the speaker.
New firmware releases will provide the ability to mute beeps. There's an RC out now and the final should be released soon.
@Brian: Sorry I ment 'start record at left locator. It does not do that. I get the right preroll to the marker that I have chosen. But it starts recording straight away and I do not hear any beeps. So I must still do something wrong.
Just spent a bit of time trying to figure out if the Sherman is setup like gotway with different levels of beeps and when they come on. Can't find anything other than what I setup in the little screen. I was told the first beep comes on at 70% current capacity, but I don't know where the guy found that info. I've gone 42MPH, but only because I couldn't hear the beep. I respect the beep. I want to understand the beep.
I'm pretty sure mine is off, as I've hit 40mph and heard nothing. Of course, I tried hearing a speaker playing music aimed at me, and at 35mph+ I couldnt hear it either. Have you heard the beep at 38mph? Its so rainy and cold here, I cant go check. I assume there's some kind of beep just prior to max speed, but that a big assumption. Its also just a guess, but i bet you can't hear a beep at 50mph anyhow, especially if you wear a helmet. I need to revisit some threads to see 1) what the top speed really is 2) when it beeps (if it does) at top speed. I also think it would be nice to set the speed at just a few mph under max (whatever that really is), but then it would need be linear as battery fades. Honestly, its an important detail and I should know how it works. Any insight would help, or I can just let my chin figure it out someday...
I realise this is not entirely an answer to your question, but I personally can't hear the beeps so I ride with either Darknessbot or EUC World, where i have set custom alarms. I ride with either a set of Aeropex Aftershokz bone-conduction headphones (you can hear the world around you with these) or an external speaker (JBL Clip3).
I ve been Googling for that issue and I ve found message by people having the same issue but no answer: all I found was some hack saying that there was a known issue with JEditorPane and that using a putProperty("IgnoreCharsetDirective", Boolean.TRUE) was helpful to make unwanted beeps happen less often. Yet information is very scarce on the subject.
Hi Vincent! I tried everything you suggested and nothing seems to be working. I threw the old hard drive back and all it does is make the beeps take longer before they are heard (it's on it's last leg and is practically dead). Should I try purchasing new ram? Or is my ram slots fried?
