Hello All,

Hope you are all doing good...

I have got some information on Registering our 'Serving Souls'.

One of my friends is working at CA. He is ready to help us, in process of Registration at free of cost.

To register our Our group he is asking for the following things.

1. 10 People ID Proofs and Address Proofs (Only local candidates addresses, coz first it will be registered for RR District and we can amend this after 3 months)

2. An application must be filled with the details which costs around 250 Rs

3. The name of our group : If 'Serving souls' is available we can register with this name, otherwise we have to check for alternate name. (Anyway we can check with this at the time of submitting the document)

So, please come forward and look into this.

Thank you,
Aush..

Good to hear that Amarnadh. But I need some clarification on which part you are talking about.
Our group is already registered under AP societies act (Reg No: 659/2008) from 2008. I remember submitting seven people names and signatures at that time and that registration was around Rs.250/-. The next step is getting Income Tax exemption for the donations made to the group under 80C. Please ask him if he can help us in that.
If any others know about this or any person who can help us, please share.

Correction guys !!

It should be registered under 80G.

They can be registered in four ways, viz. 1. Trust 2. Society 3. Section-25 Company 4. Special Licensing.

Registration can be done with the Registrar of Companies(RoC).

The following laws or Constitutional Articles of the Republic of India are relevant to the NGOs:

·         Articles 19(1)(c) and 30 of the Constitution of India

·         Income Tax Act, 1961

·         Public Trusts Acts of various states

·         Societies Registration Act, 1860

·         Section 25 of the Indian Companies Act, 1956

·         Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976

We should get our society registered for tax benefits under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961.

Please feel free to get back to me in case you need more details.

Hi Vivek,

I would need the date of registration, member names, and some other details to take it forward for the tax exemption work. Call me soon.

Thanks and Regards,

Praveen
