Hi,

My subject says it all - we want to make a new job (and client in the process) by using the email template and sending it to the inbox. This seems to automatically make the job name as "last name, first name" - which is different than we do or want. We need "first name last name" for other workflow downstream via Zapier to work right,

Is there anyway that anyone knows this can be done? There is no choice when converting the inbox message into a job that I can see,

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello,

This Client Naming format is part of the design of ServiceM8 which adheres to Accounting Standards (Last Name, First Name).

This naming automatically kicks in if the Client Name and the Contact Name on the Job are the same (ie… "John Smith" & "John Smith" becomes "Smith, John" & "John Smith").

First let me say YOU WANT THIS TO BE THE CASE AND YOU WANT TO MAINTAIN THESE STANDARDS, but if you REALLY want to deviate from this, the ONLY way to do so is to make the content entered into these fields different (ie… "John Smith" & "J Smith" or "Mr John Smith"). Just having these fields slightly different will stop ServiceM8 from changing the type of client from a business to an individual (which is what is also happening).

Hope is helps, and let me know if you have any questions: https://www.dddesigned.com/contact
