The seven political parties and the CPN (Maoists) have expressed commitment in the six point agreement signed on 22 Kattik (8 November) to hold impartial and fearless election of Constituent Assembly up to 2064 Jeth. The Citizens' Movement for Democracy and Peace (CMDP) welcomes this commitment. The popular sentiment of People's Movement 2062/63 and the dream of the martyrs can be fulfilled only by establishing democratic republic with fundamental freedom and human rights. The CMDP has been peacefully campaigning for the democratic republic. As a part of this campaign, CMDP is going to organize Democratic Republic Cultural Show at Sahid Manch (Open Theater) Tundikhel on 2063 Mangsir 3 Sunday at 1 pm.
Raamesh-Rayan, Madan Krishna-Haribansha (MAHA), Ram Krishna Duwal, JB Tuhure, Nanda Krishna Joshi, Madhu Gurung, Madhav Pradhan, Badri Pageni, Tek Bahadur Balampaki, Gopal Thakur, Ranishova Maharjan, Kusmita Darlami, Badan Sharma, Rubin Gandharva, Bir Prasad Bhansari, Rajan Bam, Sabitri Thami, Srijana Lama and Ramaji Nepali will present songs in the Cultural Show. There will be some dance performances as well.
A short drama will be performed by Sarwanam. Manoj Gajurel will present a parody. Likewise, poets including Durga Lal Shrestha, Arjun Parajuli, Ram Prasad Gyawali, Mani Kafle and Laxmi Mali will recite their poems.
Moderated by Khagendra Sangaruala, Krishna Pahadi, Shyam Shrestha, Bishnu Nisthuri, Lakki Sherpa and Dhan Kumari Sunar will be delivering speeches in the program. Similarly, ten Artists including Kiran Manandhar, Shanta Kumar Rai, Asmina Ranjit, Laxman Bhujel and Rajan Kafle will be performing on the canvases in support of permanent peace.
CMDP calls on the citizens of all walks of life to be part of the campaign for creating a new Nepal by participating in the Show being organized in support of democratic republic.
