Have any of you been able to setup custom domain?

I've been trying to set up a custom domain on Serveo, and despite following the provided instructions, I seem to be encountering some issues. Here's a detailed breakdown of what I've done so far:


Step 1: Generate SSH Key Pair

I've generated my SSH key pair using the following command:


ssh-keygen -l
The output looks like this: 3072 SHA256:[SSH Fingerprint] (RSA)


Step 2: Add DNS Records in Cloudflare

I added a new CNAME record for my subdomain:

Name: subdomain (or whatever you choose)
Target: serveo.net
TTL: Automatic (or set as per your preference)
I also added a TXT record for authentication:

Name: _serveo-authkey.yourdomain.buzz
Value: [SSH Fingerprint]
TTL: Automatic (or set as per your preference)

Step 3: Verify DNS Records

I've ensured that my DNS records are correctly set up.

Step 5: Request Subdomain from Serveo

Once the DNS records have propagated, I've tried to request port forwarding using the following SSH command:

ssh -R subdomain.yourdomain.buzz:80:localhost:3000 -i /private/Key/Path serveo.net

However, it doesn't seem to be working as expected.

Warning: remote port forwarding failed for listen port 80


Have I missed something or done something wrong? I would greatly appreciate any guidance or insights from the community. Thank you in advance!

That all sounds right. Email me privately your actual domain you're trying to use, and I'll check logs to see what's going wrong.

still traffic is not being forwarded. I even saved the records and waited for a long while. (hour)

i thought it was suposed to be _serveo-authkey.you-domain.com as the host and hten the finerprint in the content lie th sinstructions say... has this worked? regardles i cant get it working
