How to close ports and stop ssh tunneling? Also would like to know commands to check what ports are open.

Just press Ctrl+C on the SSH window like any other terminal program. Might be Ctrl+Z on Windows-like operating systems, not sure.
As for listing tunneled ports, just press the up arrow after terminating the ssh session, and then you can read the number in the same position that I replaced with hashtags: -R 80:localhost:####
