Why has putty stopped working?

Years ago I spent hours with putty until i successfully got putty to work with Serveo.

I then posted a detailed step-by-step guide on how to do it.

Not long after, it stopped working. Serveo went offline a few times and I forgot about it.

I remembered about it several times over the years and tried again.. and again.. but putty can no longer successfully accept incoming traffic.

It claims that port forwarding is working but is missing the final line:
"Press g to start a GUI session and ctrl--c to quit"

That line no longer shows up - indicating that something on serveo doesn't finish setting up. When I try to connect to my selected username, chrome presents me with a failed to connect message. The dns for my subdomain is ok and resolves to the main serveo IP. It's as if the port on serveo doesn't actually open.

This is my current putty screen vs the old successful one:

I have changed no settings, it simply no longer works!

Any help?

Thanks

There's no more GUI future, so that line isn't printed anymore. Looks like it may be working for you looking at the screenshot! TCP forwarding isn't working right now, only http.

I've been trying http - ports 1066, 54321, 1981... I am getting chromes unable to connect message. When I look at the event log in putty, the older 0.60 version says it's configured, the newer version i downloaded today shows that remote port forwarding was refused.

Either way, neither version works with http! Moons ago it worked brilliantly.. then something has changed and it's stopped working. I had my serveo connection saved in putty for years..

One other thing.. in the screenshot i sent in, you'll notice the first one says "Forwarding TCP connections from serveo.net:1066"

Now it says it's forwarding connections from my PC:
"Forwarding TCP traffic from 127.0.0.1:1981"

It can't be forwarding traffic from me, it needs to be forwarding trafic from your end... ??

This is what the new version of putty reveals in the event log - Serveo is refusing to provide remote port forwarding:

Are you just biased against windows? lol.. it's not for everyone, i get that but it seems odd how it stopped working not long after i published my how to guide.
