Deep in the Himalayas, a group of Sherpas subdue and kill a towering humanoid creature, one that Dr. Claire Collier believes to be the legendary Yeti. MiND 2 is the second generation of the MOON intelligent Network Device. In addition to all original MiND features, MiND 2 is Roon Ready, offers multi-room synchronized playback and streams MQA* audio files.

The control center of a MiND is our proprietary application running on an iPad, iPhone, or Android device. Not only does MiND 2 allow to access, browse and play the music you care for (from your computer, NAS, mobile devices and various internet based music services), it also gives you the control of your MOON Hi-Fi system for ultimate ease of use. This is what streaming music is all about!

The North Collection includes two streaming preamplifiers, the Moon 791 and Moon 891, priced at $16,000 and $25,000, respectively (all prices in USD). These two preamps share a similar appearance and feature set, but the 891 has upgraded circuitry across the board and will attract those reaching for the best (for the Moon?) whatever the cost. I suspect most users will find the 791 more than sufficient, though.

At its core, the 791 is an analog stereo preamplifier with an exceptional volume control, in both functionality and feel, and with no tone or balance controls, audiophiles will be pleased to know. It ships with the fantastic Moon BRM-1 remote control, which features a volume knob with a tactile feel similar to the one on the preamp. The 791 has three sets of analog inputs, one balanced (XLR) and two single ended (RCA), along with numerous digital inputs, including provisions for wired and wireless network connectivity. As a two-channel analog preamplifier, it has all the necessary switching capability.

However by turning MQA off on the Moon your not getting the full MQA only Roons core decode. You should normally get Roon to act as core decoder and set the streamer to be renderer only. Or you might prefer to let the streamer do the core and final rendering this way you disable Roons core decoding and enable the streamer to be decoder and renderer.

What you have shown in the above screenshots are the location where the MQA unfolding occurs, in the Lossless one you are using Roon to perform the first unfold, while in the Enhanced one, the unfolding is done on the DAC.

MQA For CiviliansAt CES 2017 Tidal announced it was streaming MQA masters and MQA Ltd announced software decoding of the MQA signal. Two big items for all of us who enjoy music. Immediately the questions and conjecture started flowing. It's human...

Astronaut Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) has been working for three years on the moon, where he has spent his days alone, mining Helium 3. The solitude has given him time to reflect on his life's mistakes, sooth his raging temper, and to dream of his return to wife and daughter. But then, two weeks shy of his departure date, things start to go a little weird. A HAL-9000 type computer called GERTY (voiced by Kevin Spacey) keeps him company during this psychologically distressing time.

"The film's ideas are interesting, but don't feel entirely worked out, and Mr. Rockwell's intriguingly strange performance (or performances) is left suspended, without the context that would give Sam's plight its full emotional and philosophical impact. The smallness of this movie is decidedly a virtue, but also, in the end, something of a limitation."

But new research from the University of Rochester published in Planetary Science Journal suggests scientists ought to be on the lookout for planets that are not much larger than our own. A rocky planet with a large moon may have good potential to host life, given that our moon controls essential aspects for life, including the length of the day, ocean tides, and stable climate.

The prevailing theory is that the moon formed about 4.5 billion years ago when the Earth was hit by a planetary embryo the size of Mars. The collision threw into orbit a partially vaporized disk of debris that coalesced into the moon. Other models suggest that Earth collided with a much larger object, which would have produced a completely vaporized disk.

They found that while streaming instability can form self-gravitating moonlets in a vapor-rich disk generated by a giant collision of planets, those moonlets are not large enough to avoid strong drag from the vapor disk and being hurtled down to their host planet and destroyed.

Nakajima was assisted in her research by Rochester physics professor Alice Quillen, former Rochester undergraduate student Jeremy Atkins, and Jacob Simon, an assistant professor at Iowa State University.

This work also suggests a major difference between planet and moon formation. Sometimes, moon-formation processes are viewed as analogous to the process of planet formation. This research suggests that streaming instability is a critical process for planet formation, but not for moon formation.

The Space Telescope Science Institute recently selected two proposals from researchers to use the powerful James Webb Space Telescope to look for exomoons. One focuses on moons around a Jupiter-like planet, and the other looks for moons around Earth-like planets.

The nearly three-and-a-half-hour film impressed critics, sitting at a score of 89 on Metacritic. Here's when it hits Apple's streamer, plus why you may want to consider using a VPN to watch it.

A subscription to Apple TV Plus is currently $10 a month (up from $7 a month after a 2023 price increase). The series Lessons in Chemistry, Ted Lasso and The Morning Show are among the streamer's offerings. You can also get Apple TV Plus bundled with other services as part of an Apple One subscription.

Trying to get Apple TV Plus for free? The streaming service offers a seven-day trial, and you might be eligible for a few free months of the service if you buy an Apple device. An Apple Music student subscription is $6 per month and comes with Apple TV Plus.

A VPN is the best way to encrypt your traffic to stop your ISP from throttling your speeds. Using a VPN is also a great idea if you're traveling, find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network, and want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins. Streaming TV can be a bit smoother with a reliable, quality VPN that's passed our tests and security standards.

You can use a VPN to stream content legally as long as VPNs are allowed in your country and you have a valid subscription to the streaming service you're using. The US and Canada are among the countries where VPNs are legal, but we advise against streaming or downloading content on illegal torrent sites. We recommend ExpressVPN, but you may opt for another provider from our best list, such as Surfshark or NordVPN.

Follow the VPN provider's instructions for installation, and choose a country where Killers of the Flower Moon will be streaming on Apple TV Plus. Before opening the streaming app, make sure you're connected to your VPN using your selected region. If you want to stream Killers of the Flower Moon on more than one device, it's possible you'll need to configure each one to ensure you're signed in. Go to settings and check your network connections to verify you're logged in and connected to your VPN account. Now you're ready to open Apple TV Plus to stream.

If you encounter issues with streaming, first make sure your VPN is up and running on its encrypted IP address. Double-check that you've followed installation instructions correctly and have picked the right geographical area for viewing. If you still encounter connection problems, you may need to reboot your device. Close all apps and windows, restart your device and connect to your VPN first. Note that some streaming services have restrictions on VPN access.

Oftentimes, movies that are overly hyped don't live up to their potential (see our review of The Little Mermaid, for example). Killers of the Flower Moon is not one of those films. As Mashable's film critic Kristy Puchko put it, "In the end, Killers of the Flower Moon is an astonishing accomplishment and easily one of the best films of the year."

"Martin Scorsese delivers a riveting and unflinching film about American evils," she writes in her review of Killers of the Flower Moon. "Yet it is not the definitive take on the Osage murders, and Scorsese knows it. His brilliant film refuses to close the book and instead dares us to read deeper."

It's definitely worth the watch not only to familiarize yourself with a film that'll almost certainly be an Oscar contender, but also to dive into America's painful history of corruption and white supremacy.

Killers of the Flower Moon first opened in select theaters on Oct. 6 and expanded Oct. 20 as a wide theatrical release. As an Apple Original Film, we've all patiently waited for the inevitable Apple TV+ streaming release over the past few months. And we're finally pleased to announce that it's here: Killers of the Flower Moon will officially start streaming on Apple TV+ on Friday, Jan. 12. It is also available to watch at home via video-on-demand services like Vudu and Amazon Prime Video.
