I installed a new server last week and noticed that when I right click an .iso I do not get the option to use the burning software they added with 08. On my other machines I did not have to install it, it was there after load. Is there a way to fix this?
I have just checked all our 2008 servers and none of them have the ability to burn .ISO files. This might have been something the Server manufacturer added on their install disk but so far as I can see it isnt native. Could it be you added the writer to the server and its that software that is kicking in? Not many servers actually have a CD/DVD writer in them as stock. Either way download and your sorted. Just out of curiosity what software comes up when you burn an ISO?
ah ok R2 is a different animal and I dont have any servers with it yet. Usual thought are check add remove windows features and see if it is in there. I am assuming that it is actually a burner as well and not just a reader, daft question I know but hey you have to ask just in case. Cant think of anything else to be honest other than the software I linked to earlier will sort you out if you get no joy.
This will likely lead to the question of if there is a simpler way to do it. The short answer is yes, by installing and running a 3rd party burning utility (likely using an elevated command prompt or Run As Admin). However that would be a different question than what you asked, and starting a new discussion thread would be more appropriate.
Windows application will require an external USB NFC reader (which will be available to be ordered on our online shop) or a built-in NFC module (existing on some models of modern laptops). So far the application has only been tested under Windows 10 and Windows 8 64 bit.
You should start by downloading the package and extracting to a folder on your hard drive. Token2 Burner app for Windows does not need to be installed, it can be launched as a standalone executable file.
Starting from version 0.0.1F β, you can extract the base32 secrets from an image containing a QR code. You can scan the QR shown on the screen (the app will minimize itself, take a screenshot and then look for a QR code containing the TOTP seed) or decode from an image file. Only one QR code should be present at a time.
Follow the steps below to perform setting the time of the token. Please note that C300 model does not support this feature. Furthermore, the token models with "Restricted" time sync feature will have to be reseeded after this operation. Check the specifications of the token model before syncing the time.
3. Set the time in the format as shown on the example below. You can use the current system time of the PC the burner application is running on by clicking on "current time" button. Click on "Set time" to start the process. "Time has been adjusted" message will be displayed upon successful operation.
- Azure CSV file generation: if activated, each successfully burnt seed will be added to a CSV file in the format compatible with Azure Cloud MFA (you will only need to add the header row and modify the usernames)
while we confirm the app will work with our tokens using the devices above, please be informed that some of these devices are manufactured by third parties and Token2 should not be held responsible for any defects or instability of these modules
I am using adobe premier elements 2020 to try to burn a DVD of a video taken with a video recorder. Everything sets up normally and works as expected except it fails to let me export to disc and start the DVD burn saying no burner detected. If I export to .iso file and then burn with both my laptop's and an external DVDRW, they work fine. I used the usb DVDRW drive to test just in case. Have reviewed other adobe posts and went to hp site for the current drivers for the optical drive (standard 650 g2 probook drive), un and reinstalled the drive, multiple reboots, and windows 10 is up to date. Both drives work to burn from other programs like roxio, nero, and even the windows burner. However adobe says none detected. I tried to find the list of compatible drives since Elements says I dont have a compatible burner but was unable to find said list. Any other suggestions?
Since you are on version 2020 you have access to a "chat" session with Adobe staff. They can remotely trouble shoot your computer. There is a link in the Help menu for that. Click on "Online Support".
I have a MAC with Elements 2018 and 2020. Fortunately, when I "upgraded" to 2020, I didn't delete 2018 version, and up until yesterday, when I wanted to burn a DVD - it worked. Now I'm getting the "no burner detected" message, despite having used that drive to download music a short while earler. Adobe is deciding for you what you should and shouldn't be able to do. No longer the fan I once was. Effectively purchased an upgrade, that's worth nothing
In the release notes is says if you are on an Apple computer, there is no disc burning. On a Windows computer, DVD burning remains, but not Blu-Ray.
If you bought directly from Adobe, there is a short refund period. Hopefully this limitation was discovered in the free trial.
If there is a positive side, it might be a good time to transition to other ways of sharing videos. DVD have terrible "picture quality" by current standard. Blu-Rays are better, but we are moving past that too. DVD rentals have reduced from major chains (like Hollywood Video) to automated vending machines (like Redbox). We can share our videos online (YouTube and Vimeo) where anyone can see them with anything they own. We can put our videos on a USB memory stick and plug it directly into newer, higher resolution, flat screen TVs.
I've used previous versions of Elements to burn dvd's of trip highlights and sports teams seasons for YEARS, and have never had a problem with the quality of the picture on the screen. Use the best available features to create the video, and go with it. For Adobe to make this decision on their own is beyond frustrating. EVERYONE is not a milleneal who stares at their phones all day. Some of us "older" people enjoy handing a player a DVD of the team's season or a close friend a DVD of a recently completed trip to keep forever. You've now taken away this ability. Getting old is one thing, Adobe deciding it for me is insulting. I'm sure I'm not alone.
There are no settings in Premiere Elements to change that will fix this. If it were me, I would be looking in the Windows device management sytem of drivers and settings. My experience is that routine Windows updates can make changes to device drivers that change the way devices work. As an owner of version 2021, you have access to Adobe techs that can remotely troubleshoot for you and problably fix it. Try an online chat session at
I'm having trouble getting windows XP to recognize my DVSM-PN58U2VB drive as a burner and not just a cd/dvd reader. I've gone into the registry and forced windows to see it as a CD-RW and the windows burning tools now come up, but the burning wizard does not recognize the drive as having a blank cd. Windows knows there is a cd in the drive and will even open blank ones up and ask if I want to burn files to it, but the wizard will not work.
I tried to install the drivers from this website and windows did not recognize them as being for this drive. I tried running the executable files included in the driver download and those did not do anything either. I'm in the process of downloading the CD image but do not want to go this route as we have to use these drives on about 180 different machines and do not want to have to install this software on all of them. Is there another option for me?
Have you tried using this unit on another PC? One with Windows XP? If so, you mention that the drive will recognize blank cds, but will the unit recognize pre-mastered media (CDs/DVDs professionally manufactured)?
Hi - trying to use DVSM-PN58U2VB in notebook Samsung PC installed with MS Office Professional Plus. Plays CDs but unable to read and play DVDs. I thought it was plug and play. Surely I don't need to download a DVD decoder?Any ideas/feedback welcome.
ref: DVSM-PN58U2VB(W) DVD multi drive....external burner...I had a lot of problems with this unit at first withthe software I was trying to usewith it...including what instructions came with it...I also have win XP....I tried several software programs to try to get it to work...no use...finally, got Corel software, a cheap verson on sale, around 20 bucks...thought would try it as was at wits end...never could get support in person for it...an nothing for support with previous software, nor Buffalo....the Corel worked like a charm..no more problems....now, I find that it runs a little slow for me...because of my computor capacity...memory, etc...so, just have to improve upon that as it is an older model..I have had a problem withburning a recent dvd from wide angle to wide angle for some problem...I just get standard 4.9 instead of 16.9 for some reason...I believe itto be maybe the DL dvds using now to get the total dvd data on one disk...an my computor is so slow...but, just used a standard 2.0 usb port...an, sometimes, get the insert a blank disk reading, I just re insert or wait untilthe message comes up again....still think it may be the slowness of my computor...in process of upgrading that, will see if that is the real problem....never a problem before until the latest long dvd burn....Corel VideoStudio Express 2010 is what I use....
you will most likely have file extension problems like I did until I ran across Corel VideoStudio Express 2010...then, all the others I just either deleted or stopped using. Have not had a problem burning , reading, etc..since...I use win XP...an a slow pc...landline connection, no dsl, an short on memory now...need to improve upon that....I used Nero, Movavi or however you spell it, also, my cam corder software from Panasonic...none worksas well as Corel...an it was cheap...like my prev. post states, like on sale for 20 bucks...best 20 I ever spent...Corel converts, then burns....takes some time, depending on your computor...but, works....
