It's increasingly common, and his behavior fits with it in several
ways....

What do you think?

I can see where Snape could have Asperger Syndrome.... but I don't
think I saw enough of his private life to form that hypothesis. I
lean more strongly toward his socialization and his family life.

This sounds like it could be an inetesting topic...

The only thing that doesn't seem to fit it the fact that Snape isn't
clumsy at all when he's duelling, but otherwise he does seem a bit
clumsy... sort of loping in his walk. In the books it's suggested that
he really was no good at Quidditch, and this might also have to do
with clumsiness. In order to work for Dumbledore (and Voldemort) as a
spy, he had to get past this defect, and this might be the only reason
he's not clumsy at these crucial times....

Haha. Yeah, I see your points. He shows some aspects of it, but never
to the extent someone with Asperger's would, and though he's obvious
in his hatred for James, Harry, Sirius, etc. he's also very private
about his love for Lily.

I must say that holding the huge grudge he's held against James et al
all those years suggests to me that he did sort of crack under the
pressure of teasing.... Of course, now we know most of the anger and
grudge was due to James dating and marrying Lily, not how badly he was
teased by the Marauders....

I'll just let the Snape-might-have-Asperger's theory drop. The
evidence really isn't strong enough. He's way too complex. :)
