So for a few releases it seemed like when you checked in there was nothing in the data entry field.  You could type your message and then paste in the episode info.  I actually preferred that method but a few releases back noticed it reverted back to being pre-populated.

I'm just wondering what the normal mode of operation is.  The paste button is less functional when the info is already there.

That is why there is now a clear button :)

Honestly I switched back to prepopulate it because I found it tiresome to have to insert the episode name each time I wanted to check in. As you said, originally I made the decision to leave the field clear to encourage users to compose their own messages.

I think I'll post on Google+ about this to ask around a little what is preferred. I'm not really sure what the best default is here.

ROTFLMAO!  There's a clear button?  Damn it!  My wife's right.  I am unobservant!  I haven't looked yet but 10:1 odds it's probably right next to the paste button.  Man I suck.

Can we pretend this conversation never happened?
