hello,
im using SeriesGuide(beta) for a long time. The only thing keeping me from using it 100% is the painfully slow and unresponsive trakt.tv web page. I also think that design of the page is VERY poor. Im on 100mbit connection and i dont feel that any other page im visiting is this slow. Do you have any tips on how to speed up trakt.tv? Would it be possible to make SeriesGuide work with some other web page(just for syncing)? I work and watch eps mostly at my PC but i would like to have mobile app updated also.

Regards,
Roman.

Roman,

they currently struggle with the big amount of traffic and promised to improve this in the future. I have no ETAs or fixes and there are no real viable alternatives out there (I looked before deciding for trakt), sorry.

Hi,

unfortunately since i joined trakt.tv it only got worse and worse. Even with blazing fast speed, trakt.tv is pain to use(possibly the worse UI i have seen).
All i need is something like www.episodecalendar.com - very fast and simple tracking tool on PC/web. And that web page is my first google result i got 5minutes ago :) Maybe someone small like this would be happy to promote his own web site partnering with your premium mobile app(sharing their API). Because they have android mobile app, but its very spartan(basic). I would gladly pay for possibility of having fast PC/web alternative. Or maybe hire someone who could build something like this. I have done some web pages so i know its not easy, cheap or fast. But there must be some other way :/

Regards,
Roman.

Roman,

I share your frustration and I can only tell you again that the trakt guys are working on it. I have chosen trakt because it has the most compelling features and the best API, letting alone the awesome support for third-parties. If you compare episodecalendar.com with trakt I guess most people would choose trakt despite the performance issues as you have nice artwork, nicer, richer pages and social integration, check ins, movies and what not...

I want to support what those guys have built and don't want to jump ship before giving them some time to improve things.

Uwe
