Hi,

       I am new to serengeti , i am interested to start work on this. Anybody share how to start install serengeti.

Hi Jay,

1. First you need to install vSphere vCenter Server 5.x,
2. Download vSphere Big Data Extensions (i.e. Serengeti) 1.0 GA from http://www.vmware.com/go/download-bigdataextensions
3. Follow the Admin Guide on http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/vsphere-big-data-extensions-pubs.html to install Serengeti
4. After the Serengeti vApp is deployed, power on the vApp, and login to the management-server, follow CLI Guide on http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/vsphere-big-data-extensions-pubs.html  to add some datastores, then you can create your 1st Apache Hadoop cluster by executing 'cluster create --name mycluster' in Serengeti CLI
