Spring Impala

Hello,

We are currently testing Serengeti and found out that it uses Spring Impala to provide an Interactive Hadoop Shell. Spring Impala works only with Hadoop v1.0 (IPC version 4) and is not compatible with Hadoop v2.0 (IPC version 6), do you have any plans to port Spring Impala to Hadoop v2.0 ?

Hi Abmvs,

Thanks for choosing Serengeti. As per the feature request on making porting Impala, we don't have a planned date at this moment. A user story is added to track the feature. SERENGETI-1905 - Make Serengeti CLI submitting jobs and accessing HDFS with Hadoop clusters. Would be nice if you could elaborate more about your scenario of the feature, either here, or in the issue tracker. It'll helps to understand and justify the priority.
