Nominations for sequence A400000 are now open.
The OEIS will very soon reach 400000 sequences and to mark that occasion we are calling for nominations for the sequence which will become A400000.
Nominations should be sent to 40...@oeis.org giving the A-number and name of the sequence.
The fine print:
Nominations close on 5pm 16 October 2026 EDT.
One sequence nomination per person.
You can nominate your own sequence or someone else's sequence.
Nominated sequences must have an A-number >= A395000 or a creation date later than 1 May 2026, and must have been submitted (but not necessarily approved or published) by 16 October.
The winning sequence will be moved to A400000 and a few runner's up will be moved to numbers near A400000.
We will not be publishing who nominated which sequence (that is, nominations remain private).
Depending on the number of nominations received and the exact timing of reaching 400000 sequences, we expect to announce the result before the end of November.
