The following simple joke/puzzle was presented more years ago than I care to recall, even though a consultant once submitted a filing that made about as much sense. Note, this is not an infinite sequence.

When does 45 minus 45 equal 45?

1) Write out the Natural Numbers from left to right starting with the number nine(9.)

2) Beneath the first row of numbers write out the numbers one (1) through nine (9) starting with the number one (1.)

3) Subtract the second row from the first row.

4) Add all three rows of numbers, placing the sums to the right of each row.

5) Observe that all rows sum the same.

Best to all in MMXXVI. (So glad letters and symbols are not used in OEIS sequences.)

Are there any sequences whose first three terms would cover the MDCLXVI ?
