is the format  n, down  and k across ?  are there some rules on presentations? like single term for the start,

like a(n,k)  for example a(1,1) = 1,  a(1,2)=2,  a(2,1)= 7,  a(2,2)=4, a(2,3)= 17

1  2
7  4   17     ?

Another question, can the values be equations?

example  a(1,1) = d   a(2,1) = d^2    a(2,2)= d^2+c^2

d
d^2     d^2+c^2      ?

I'm new to the formatting
Thanks in advance

Hi Edward,

SeqFan is not really the right place to be asking questions about the minutiae of presentation.

The answer to the majority of your questions can be found in the Style sheet:

As for "is the format  n, down  and k across ?", the answer is generally yes.

My recommendation would be to find an existing sequence most similar to what you want to propose and use it as a guide.

Sean.
