Dear all,

The prime number sequence A000040 has a b-file with (only) 10000 terms, but also an a-file with 100000 terms. Would it be desirable to promote the a-file to a b-file? Several other core sequences (and also non-core sequences, like A013929 and A052410) have b-files with 100000 terms.

Best regards,
Pontus von Brömssen

Hi Pontus,

I'm not inclined to change the b-file for the primes. I think it is convenient having both sizes available.

Note that some tools (spreadsheets etc.) cannot easily absorb a 100k line file.

I'm also wary of triggering a round of "hey let's extend b-files to 100k terms".

My preference is to maintain the current de facto upper limit of 10000 terms in most cases.

Sean.

I get your point Sean, it's perfectly fine. Thanks for replying.
