The website is revised (in the process of). Check it out:
www.ncic-metro.org Changes still to come: today, we will add Spanish
language version of material not already up; over the next day or two we
will add a more complete media section; and soon and very soon (JUAN
CARLOS!), we will put up the list of our members/partners, the steering
committee and the coalitions we belong to.
Thanks to everyone who has helped.
Also, please note that the PAYPAL donation function is fully in
operation. Please direct your ad people to the website to process thier
donation. This will make everything more efficient. One of Saul's
people has already donated through the website and everything went smoothly.
Two final points:
1) on the website under legislative updates you can dowload the amazing
illustrated, plain language analysis of current legislation (in Spanish
and English). Please take a look at this and consider incorporating
these materials into your outreach and community education efforts. I
know we are all commited to educating folks and not just moving bodies
and this is an excellent resource. (Kim, any chance that we could get
one of the papers to print the series?)
2) Jessica will be sending an e-postcard to this list serve, advertising
the event and the website. We ask that when you receive it (latest
tomorrow morning) that you send it out to your contact list and
encourage them to forward. We need to push the viral e-marketing
strategy. Amigos members will post to neighborhood listserves here in
DC, and we would encourage others to post to egroups they belong to.
