I'm writing to report a data formatting inconsistency in the vehicle tracking system for Route 23, which is resulting in what appears to be a duplicate vehicle on the live map. As reported on 6/5/2025 around 7:40AM (Eastern time).

Currently, two vehicles are listed with the following identifiers:

  • Vehicle #702 (On-time, Block ID 3154)

  • Vehicle #0702 (6 min delayed, Block ID 3166)

They both reference the same next stop: Germantown Av & Butler St, and the same route - it's the same vehicle being tracked twice — one with a leading zero and one without.

This inconsistency may be caused by differing formats in the vehicle ID field across internal systems (e.g., database vs GPS feed). To avoid confusion for riders and developers using your API,
I suggest to Standardizing the vehicle ID field (e.g., remove leading zeros consistently).

I’d be happy to provide more context or help with further testing.

See screenshots for reference.
