Dear colleagues,

We were very pleased to meet with many of you last month at the Sephardi/Mizrahi Caucus annual meeting at the AJS Conference in Washington, DC, and to hear about the many important and exciting projects, initiatives, and networks you are developing across different regions and subfields. The discussion made clear once again how much is happening in our area of research, and how valuable it is to have a shared space for exchanging work and thinking together. We are also glad to be in touch with colleagues who were unable to attend the meeting but expressed interest in following up on the conversation.

Many participants expressed interest in staying in touch and joining the caucus mailing list. We therefore wanted to let you know that we are using an existing mailing list from previous years, to which we have added the names of colleagues who asked to be included. We hope to use this list both to help plan our meeting at next year’s AJS Conference and to circulate information about relevant activities, upcoming events, publications, calls for papers, and fellowship, grant, and job opportunities.

Please note that in order to join the listserv—which will allow you to read group postings (usually one to two messages per week)—you simply need to accept this invitation. If you decline or ignore the invitation, you will not receive messages from us.

Finally, if you would like to share information with the listserv, please send your message exactly as you would like it to appear in a standard email—including the subject line—to sephardimi...@googlegroups.com. Accepted messages typically post within 24–48 hours.

With warm thanks again for your participation and interest, and we look forward to continued exchange.

Warm regards,
Aviad Moreno & Yuval Evri
