I am writing to share a call for applications for the 2026–2027 Posen Library Jewish Studies Curriculum Initiative (JSCI) Fellowship, and I would be very grateful if you might consider applying or sharing this opportunity with colleagues who may be interested.
The fellowship supports scholars in developing open-access teaching modules for university-level Jewish studies courses, built around primary sources from the Posen Library’s digital collection. Each fellow creates a module designed for four class sessions, centered on approximately 20–25 primary sources with accompanying contextual and pedagogical materials.
For the 2026–2027 cycle, we are inviting proposals on the following topics:
Jews in Early Modern Europe
Jews in Early Modern Muslim Lands
Jews in the Early Modern Atlantic
Holocaust
History of Zionism
Jews and Judaism after World War II
The fellowship runs from June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027 and includes a $8,000 stipend. The application deadline is April 13, 2026.
If you are considering applying and would like to discuss ideas or learn more about the fellowship, please feel free to contact me directly. I would be happy to answer any questions.
With best wishes,
Sasha Goldstein-Sabbah
