Hello everyone,

I hope all of you have been enjoying your summers and that amidst all
of the youth and community programming that you have found just a
little time for rest and relaxation!

I wanted to update you on some upcoming SEPC events at Mifflin Park
located at 6th and Ritner Streets.

*Over the last two months we have hosted clean-ups at Mifflin Park and
even received recognition in The South Philadelphia Public Record:

*We will be having our third clean-up at the park Saturday, August
21st from 11am-2pm where we will pick up trash, beautify the park
benches and enjoy a FREE BBQ lunch with lots of games, activities and
giveaways. I hope to see all of you there!

*Also, we will be hosting a healthy movie night at Mifflin Park which
will include a FREE screening of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs at
8pm and from 6:30-8pm we will have pre-movie activities including
health screenings, cooking demonstrations, snacks and beverages and a
tug of war contest. Come join us at 6:30pm on Saturday, August 7th at
Mifflin Park Movie Night!

Visit our google group for a copy of the event flyers! Thanks and
enjoy the rest of your summer. And be sure to rest up for the
reconvening of the Community Council on Monday, September 13th at
6:00pm (not the usual first Monday due to Labor Day).
