Class change recipe: selection of the band to use for the transition

Hi colleagues,

I want to use the Class Change recipe to look at transitions from one image to another. What is the basis of selecting the 'change band' at the time of loading the source image. In other words, does it make any difference if I choose any band or the choice makes a difference? Thank you for the anticipated support.
